Centuries before Julius Caesar conquered much of the known world, the Ancient Greeks were laying a foundation that has supported nearly 3000 years of European history.     Aeronautical Engineering Students take part in a study trip to Greece. They visit the premises of the Hellenic Aerospace Industry, where they are shown the complete life cycle of a typical aerospace industry project. The students then visited the neighbouring Tanagra Air Force Base to see the operational part of an aerospace project. Finally, to enhance student's cultural exposure, they visited Mikines (UNESCO world heritage monument) and Epidavros.   • Flight Test in Greece - Aeronautical Engineering - University of South Wales

    Forty-six Aeronautical Engineering students travelled to Greece to undertake the flight test element of the module Flight Dynamics. It was the first time that this activity has been organised in an overseas entity (Egnatia Aviation Approved Training Organization at Kavala-Alexander the Great airport) and the students had also the chance to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Archaeological Site of Aigai.     In 333 BC Alexander advanced south from Cilicia into Syria, after defeating the Persians at the River Granicus, he defeated Darius III at Issus. He then proceeded through Phoenicia to Egypt, where they accepted him as their liberator from Persian Rule. Determined to rule the World, Alexander pursued conquering north, through Syria and Mesopotamia and defeated Darius at Gaugamela in 331 BC. After Darius fled he was then killed by his own men.

In 333 BC Alexander advanced south from Cilicia into Syria, after defeating the Persians at the River Granicus, he defeated Darius III at Issus. He then proceeded through Phoenicia to Egypt, where they accepted him as their liberator from Persian Rule. Determined to rule the World, Alexander pursued conquering north, through Syria and Mesopotamia and defeated Darius at Gaugamela in 331 BC. After Darius fled he was then killed by his own men.
